Welcome to my world of scientific illustration and natural artistry!

I'm a tax consultant for tech innovation projects, but my true passion lies in illustration. From an early age, I've been captivated by the beauty of art and drawing. While I firstly pursued a scientific career in Biology, I discovered my love for combining art and science through the specialized field of Scientific Illustration.

My illustrations focus on depicting the wonders of nature, employing stippling, using intricate dots, and colored pencils to bring my artwork to life. Each piece is scientifically accurate and visually captivating, setting my style apart.

I've had the privilege of exhibiting my work, collaborating with influencers, and teaching Scientific Illustration at the University of Porto. Creating art is a liberating experience for me, allowing me to dedicate my focus and set my feelings free.

I draw inspiration from renowned scientific illustrators like Ernst Haeckel and Leonardo DaVinci. Their attention to detail motivates me to push the boundaries of my own craft.

When starting a new project, I embark on thorough research to ensure accuracy. From anatomy to behavior, I immerse myself in the subject matter. I then sketch, plan the composition, and select materials like sumi ink, colored pencils, and graphite. Digital tools like Procreate are occasionally used for refinement.

In the future, I aspire to illustrate books, undertake commissioned work, and bring personal requests to life.

Thank you for joining me on this creative journey. Explore my gallery and discover the beauty of the natural world through my illustrations.
